Started in 2002, Simply Health Plus Pvt. Ltd. is a futuristic organization conducting Comprehensive School Health Program, designed on the guidelines issued by the CBSE, in the Northern India region and soon expanding Pan India.
As part of the program, the company educates, motivates and makes students aware of various health issues. It also sets up a complete medical room / infirmary and appoints a full time doctor / nurse in school, who takes care of the daily health requirements of the students & staff of the school. The doctor / nurse is also responsible to spread awareness in school, of various health issues through lectures, workshops, competitions etc. The doctors also provide basic medicines and first aid Free of cost to the students and the school staff.
The directors of the company, Dr. Rohit Sahni and Dr. Manisha Sahni are certified as Master Trainers in Comprehensive School Health Program by Central board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The program has also been appreciated by the Government of Singapore. Got Healthcare Excellence Award India 2019 in the field of School Health.
Presently, the program is benefitting more than one lakh students of reputed schools in different cities of North India, including Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Mohali, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Pinjore, Karnal, Sonepat, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Gurgaon, Malerkotla, Ferozpur, Abohar, Fazilka, Khanna, Nabha, Patiala, Samana, Shimla, Nahan and Parwanoo.

Why Health Program for Schools?
India is going to be a country with the highest young population by 2025. This would mean there would be over 300 million school going children. School students today face issues like Obesity, Ocular Problems, Hearing Impairment, Dental Issues, Overweight Issues, and Nutritional Deficiency. In addition, children also face behavioural issues like lack of concentration, ADHD, ODD, ASD, Bipolar Disorder, etc., which if not tackled at the right age can be issues for life.
As the awareness around issues in school going students has increased over the last few years, the need for an all round medical care program for students has emerged.
Globally, developed countries like USA and Singapore have a mandatory health program as a part of the students’ curriculum. In India, leading education board like CBSE, has asked schools to make health program mandatory for all schools.
Realizing this, Panchkula-based doctor couple Dr. Rohit Sahni and Dr. Manisha Sahni started a comprehensive health program for schools in India.

“Healthy Bytes”
The directors of Simply Health Plus, Dr. Rohit Sahni and Dr. Manisha Sahni, were invited by the Director of Health Promotion Board Singapore to study the methodology they follow to provide oral health care to school going children.
Dr. Rohit Sahni and Dr. Manisha Sahni met with Dr. Eu Oy Chu, Director of the school oral health care division and the Colgate team from Malaysia and learnt about their initiatives to promote oral health. Their ideology is simply and very effective, “Catch them young!”
On coming back and discussing the concept with the school Principal, Simply Health Plus found most of them eager to provide their own school children with the same facilities. And so, “HEALTHY BITES” was launched. This concept will aid in providing the school children with the facility of getting all minor dental treatments as Simply Health Plus will provide the infrastructure of a fully function dental clinic within the school campus itself! The oral health branch of Simply Health Plus will now educate the students on oral health and constantly screen the students for caries etc. After examination the follow up will be done by the qualified school dentist.
School Activities
All the schools associated with Simply Health Plus began this year by forming their own health clubs under the guidance of the school doctor. This is also in accordance with the requirement of CBSE and fulfills the objective of health education partly through a peer group. The “Health Brigade” and the “Health Force” formed by the students conducts regular checks in the school with regards to water hygiene, sanitation, canteen hygiene and also motivates other members of the student body by building awareness on health issues with the help of small skits, puppet shows, song and dance performances on topics which are pre decided and planned by a team of doctors from Simply Health Plus.
